Phrases and idioms wedding breakfast a meal etc. usually served between a wedding and the departure for the honeymoon. wedding cake a rich iced cake served at a wedding reception. wedding day the day or anniversary of a wedding. wedding march a march played at the entrance of the bride or the exit of the couple at a wedding. wedding night the night after a wedding (esp. with ref. to its consummation). wedding ring a ring worn by a married person.
